CHRPC Tells Okowa The Center for Human Rights and Public Complaints, CHRPC has urged Governor Okowa of Delta State to stop the senseless political rigmarole and focus on delivering governance to People of Delta State. VIOs HAVE NO BUSINESS TO BE ON THE ROAD - Appeal Court!!! "At the end of the day, the court delivered judgment in my favour and declared that VIOs – or whatever name they are called – have no business even being on the road, first and foremost.  They have no business stopping vehicles to ask for any documents. The judge was particular that their work and duty should be done at their offices, not on the road. The judge said, ‘You don’t inspect vehicles on the road; you inspect vehicles at your workshop or office, and the best time to do that is during annual vehicle licence renewal.’ The judge also said that they had no authority to even stop any private vehicle, demanding any document whatsoever.

Rights group, Center for Human Rights and Public Complaints, CHRPC has berated governor Ifeanyi Okowa of Delta state over what they described as recycling of politicians in the state. The acting national president, Comrade Lucky Emubejere who spoke with newsman in Asaba urges Okowa to appoint leaders with fresh ideas rather that allowing political interest guide his choice of whom to appoint in the state. He Described the recent appointment as political compensation and lobbying of political friend who do not merits such appointment. In his reaction he said; "Governor Okowa want to use his last two years in office to turn Delta state to his own family and Friends business. Comrade Lucky Emubejere also lamenting bitterly that other human rights organization remain silent in the face of bad Governance by Okowa. Governor Okowa should stop recycling his political friends in the state, Deltan's deserve the best.

Comrade Steven who made this statement with newsmen in Warri on the 31th of May, towards the order made by VIO Boss that they are out to withdraw all driver license hand Note giving to those that have paid for drivers license, withdrawing hand note giving to those that apply for drivers license, when the office can't give someone a driver license within few days talkless of those that want to renew their driver license, it take almost 3 months to give someone that apply for drivers license, his driver's license.
