Leaders of Odidi community in the Warri South-West Local Government Area of Delta State has clarified that "Odidi is a Federated community under the Ogbe-Ijoh, Warri Kingdom and not part of the Gbaramatu Kingdom, as being insinuated in some quarters.  The clarification was contained in a statement issued by the community leaders and signed by the chairman, Odidi Federated Community, Prince Preye Okrikpa, copies of which were made available to journalists in Warri on Friday. The statement discountenanced ongoing claims by a group that identified itself as the Kantu Working Committee, which maintained that Odidi was part of the Gbaramatu Kingdom.
