PALTRY FIFTY THOUSAND NAIRA CAN NEVER BE CALLED A DELTA CENTRAL COMMUNITY YOUTH EMPOWERMENT PROGRAM.

The 36 States of Nigeria elect 3 Senators each to the house of Senate, also called the UPPER CHAMBER of the NATIONAL ASSEMBLY, as the country operates bicamera legislature.

They are 109 in total as one Senator represents the capital, Abuja.

These Senators are expected to represent their CONSTITUENCIES in terms of taking the various needs of these CONSTITUENCIES to the FEDERAL level and ensure that what these CONSTITUENCIES lack are met by the FEDERAL through their instrumentality.

Constituency projects are projects outlined by these Senators for execution at their respective constituencies. It is believed that the legislators had outlined the needs of their respective constituencies prior to inserting such projects in the budget. Such projects are funded by the budget, and the projects are included during the process of reviewing of proposed budget submitted by the President.

Once approved, the money is released by the executive to the Senator through the contractor, which often is a hoax company created by the Legislators who inserted the project. But it is so painful that there is so much incongruity from what is expected and what is actually done.

These funds, meant for such projects, are eventually not used for the very purpose for which it was released. So ironical !!!

Some Senators get as much as 400 million per year for such projects. The process is repeated at the legislation of each budget submitted to the house yearly.

These SENATORS are expected to , BEFORE and/or AFTER their election, go round the CONSTITUENCIES they intend to represent , and/or they actually represent,  to see and observe what the various COMMUNITIES in these CONSTITUENCIES lack. So they can forward and present these lacks at the FEDERAL level and perhaps,  incorporate some , if not all, into the budget so that monies can be released to them(the SENATORS) for these CONSTITUENCIES lack( which form what we call the CONSTITUENCIES PROJECTS). 

The foregoing are the functions, duties and obligations of our Senators to the various CONSTITUENCIES they represent.But the reverse has always been the case.

Most of these SENATORS spend that money on fulfilling promises made to their political sponsors and the traditional institutions that brought them to power. The rest of it are spent on upgrading their lifestyle and petty constituency projects that most times, end up being abandoned.

Also , these huge amount released by the FEDERAL GOVERNMENT for CONSTITUENCIES projects, are sometimes thwarted and then given as PALTRY stipends to unsuspecting members of the various COMMUNITIES that form the CONSTITUENCIES they represent.

As seen in the display of shabby - genteel by the self styled OBAMA of Uvwie (Senator Dafinone) , giving paltry 50k(fifty thousand naira) to members of some CONSTITUENCIES he is representing, as DELTA CENTRAL COMMUNITY YOUTH EMPOWERMENT PROGRAM . What a deceit to the unsuspecting members of the public !!! 

Delta Central Youth make una wake !!! Wake up from your slumber and demand for your rights. The rights of your communities. The RIGHTS of the PEOPLE.  Is 50k supposed to be for the constituency projects? What kind of youth empowerment is  50k supposed to be used for? Make una answer me oh.

These SENATORS just surface from nowhere and pretend that they care about the people and their needs.

During the campaign, they share bags of rice, beans, groundnut oil, anything really, we are so cheap. They can buy our conscience.

They come up with promises for the people that they will provide good roads, fix the electricity, fix the health care. But deep down within them , they know they will not do what they are promising the PEOPLE.

All they have in mind is that it doesn’t matter just tell them that you will fix everything.

They tell the people they are here to bring Change. Just for them to get the votes of the PEOPLE and then go to Abuja to enrich themselves at the expense of the CONSTITUENCIES they claim to represent. 

WHAT A SHAME !!!

Please our SENATOR DAFINONE , The OBAMA of UVWIE,  that paltry 50k Community Youth Empowerment is not what the people in your CONSTITUENCIES need. 

I wonder how 50k can be given to a youth and be called "empowerment". E reach to start any business ? The answer is an emphatic NO.

Abeg make una stop to call us fools. We are not fools. Please we want to see meaningful development in the constituencies , reflecting in the lives of the people you (SENATORS ) claim to be representing.
