SEVEN YEARS AFTER DEMOLITION BY HON FERGUSON ONWO, AKOKOTU PRIMARY SCHOOL CLASSROOMS IN REMAIN UNBUILT OLOMORO COMMUNITY RAISED ALARM


What kind of representation is this? Hon. Ferguson Onwo is facing growing questions over the demolition of three blocks of classrooms at Akokotu Primary School in Egbo Quarter, Olomoro Community, which residents say have remained unreconstructed since 2019.

According to concerned residents, Mr. Nero was responsible for supervising the demolition of the three-block classroom structure. Seven years later, the site is reportedly overgrown with weeds and has allegedly been left without the promised replacement classrooms.

The situation has raised serious concerns among members of the community, particularly at a time when education infrastructure should be receiving greater attention.

The people of Olomoro deserve answers: Why were the classrooms demolished in 2019, and why have they not been rebuilt after seven years?

There are also concerns about the recent demolition of classrooms at Okpolo Enwhe Primary School. Is the same pattern about to be repeated there?

We therefore call on Hon. Ferguson Onwo and the relevant authorities to explain the circumstances surrounding the demolition of the classrooms at Akokotu Primary School and provide a clear timeline for reconstruction.

The people of Okpolo Enwhe Community will not stand by and watch their children lose access to functional classrooms. We will resist any action that leaves our schools without adequate learning facilities. Our children's education must come first.
