DELTA STATE LOCAL GOVERNMENT ELECTION : AN EXPOSÉ OF THE UNDERBELLY OF DR IFEANYI OKOWA AS A FAKE DEMOCRAT.

Dr ( Senator) Arthur Ifeanyi Okowa, the executive governor of Delta state has inadvertently unmasked his well camouflaged dictatorial bent by deliberately baring his fangs as an anti democrat who is impervious to the damning consequences of the recent imposition of candidates in the just concluded PDP primaries superintended by the state PDP exco under his ubiquitous directives.

Dr Infeanyi Okowa has caused our fledging democratic values to be upended and evaporate like a wisp of smoke, due to his long suppressed penchant and pristine quest to appropriate autocratic powers to himself and thereafter install a political dynasty loyal to his whims and caprices through the planting of his minions, charlatans, lackeys, and political jesters as representatives of the people.

 The governor even stooped so low as to plant his simpletons in the lowest rungs of representative capacity as councilors.

 This brazen renege and mockery of guidelines to party primaries, paradoxically set by the same PDP led government of governor Arthur Infeanyi Okowa, constitutes a misnomer to the tenets of internal party democracy and true democracy. It is also indicative of the scorn PDP has for the electorate.

Furthermore, It is instructive we recall that the disbanded DSIEC board that paved way for the inauguration of the current board of DSIEC had almost restored the confidence of Deltans on the impartiality of DSIEC in their historical handling of the 2016 local government council election , which for the first time DSIEC supreintended an election where the true outcome of council elections were respected.

Ironically, this confidence arousing feat was in ascendency when the Chief Moses Ogbe led board was ignominiously fired by a governor with dictatorial and imperial disposition, hinged on self centeredness and an inordinate desire to build and foist a political fiefdom on Deltans, irrespective of our democratic environment and culture of egalitarianism.

As such, It will not be surprising that the so called forthcoming local government election in Delta state might just be a dumbo charade like never witnessed before in the annals of Local Government Elections in Delta state, especially when juxtaposed with the way and manner the PDP leadership in the state organised a most despicable primaries where rules and guidelines set up by the party were brazenly and blatantly breached with impunity and thereof jettisoned like Flotsam and Jetsams.

Suffice it to say that Dr Okowa and his motley band of servile and genuflecting boogeymen, have foisted on Deltans the most bizzare desecration of democracy, with the worst case scenario deemed to have occured in Uvwie Local Government Council Area, where the winners of DSIEC ward 13, Ward 17 of the PDP primaries were unabashedly replaced with names of persons they defeated in the primaries in order to please/ ingratiate some faceless leaders cum godfathers who felt too big to respect the choice of the electorate.

Similarly, in Udu and Patani Local Government Councils the same ignoble charade characterised the PDP primaries.

It is evidently clear that these undemocratic impositions have the imprimatur of the governor of Delta state, Dr Infeanyi Okowa, otherwise, governor Okowa should have listened to the vociferous cries of the oppressed party men and women and thereafter sanctioned the Kingsley Esiso led exco of the party for acts of brazen impunity and imposition of candidates intended to negate the enthronement of internal democracy, an albatross that has perennially plagued PDP by exposing its underbelly to internal and external enemies.

Anyway, with recourse to the outcome of the sham PDP primaries, which the governor Okowa led administration has pretended and adjudged to be free, fair and democratic, what hope is there for the vast majority of Deltans that such despotic and ignoble shenanigans would not be foisted on Deltans in the coming inter party Local Government Election.

 It is glaringly obvious that once again Deltans will be shortchanged by yet another dubious LG election wherein PDP will not allow the will and choice of the people see the light of the day or give the people a level playing field to freely elect their leaders and representatives.

PDP is poised to trample upon the choice of Deltans in obsequious obedience to the powers that be.

Hence, nothing

 different from the impositions that took place in the PDP primaries should be expected during and after the Local government election in 2021.

Fortunately for Dr Okowa and his sniveling lackeys masquerading as the state PDP exco, the present board of DSIEC is populated by handpicked pliable and clay footed cronies and charlatans who are ready to sell their souls to the devil and also do anything to please Dr Infeanyi Okowa, the generalissimo of Delta state and his colony of rapacious vampires.

But, like the time honoured adage goes, there is a time for everything, 

providence is always a karma to the ungodly, the cries of Deltans will raise a Messiah to unlock these imperious bondage by unscrupulous men.
