The incoming local government chairman in Uvwie local government area, Delta State under the winning party, People Democratic party (PDP) Hon Chief Timmy Ukwade wishes the good people of Uvwie local government area, that may the birth of our Saviour Jesus Christ brings Unending Joy into our Life, Total Peace, Great Blessings, Grace, Divine Favour, upliftment from God and Love.

Rt Hon Timmy Ukwade further enjoined all Christian faithfuls to emulate the unique character of Jesus Christ whose life is an embodiment of love, joy and peace and also express same to others. He also called on every Uvwie citizen to promote peace and practice religious tolerance to make Uvwie local government area a peaceful place for all, during this festive season.

The late Pa Joseph Obruch Umukoro Omeka, AKA Mighty Sparrow, will be laid to rest in his hometown of Enwhe, Isoko South Local Government Area of Delta State on Saturday, August 10th 2024. According to a statement released by the son Comrade Steven Luke, AkA No Jobman for Governor, the proceedings will commence with service of song at his resident in Ugbolokposo town in Uvwie local government area on Thursday, August 8th, 2024, at 4 pm. The burial ceremony is scheduled to take place on Saturday, August 10th, 2024, starting with the Liturgy of the Word by Apostle Emmanuel Inonoje, followed by the internment and entertainment of guests at his hometown Enwhe in Isoko South local government area.
