Delta-Based Investigative Journalist Comrade Ezekiel Kagbala Mourns the Passing of Edwin Clark

A prominent investigative journalist from Delta State Nigeria, has expressed profound sorrow over the death of Chief Edwin Kiagbodo Clark, a revered elder statesman and a towering figure in the Niger Delta region. In a heartfelt tribute, Kagbala described Chief Clark as a "great mentor, leader, and role model" whose impact on the lives of many will be felt for generations to come.

Ezekiel Kagbala in a statement on Monday in Warri said, Chief Clark who passed away recently, was known for his unwavering commitment to the rights and welfare of the Niger Delta people. He was a national leader, a freedom fighter, an educationist, and an author whose works chronicled the struggles and aspirations of his people. Kagbala recalled how Chief Clark's candidness and brutal frankness made him a respected voice in Nigerian politics and society.

"Whenever I greeted him with his appellation, 'GOGOROGO,' he would always pray for me," Kagbala reminisced. "His prayers were a source of strength and encouragement, and I will forever cherish those moments. Chief Clark was a man of many parts, a true embodiment of leadership and integrity."

In his tribute, Kagbala highlighted Chief Clark's contributions to education and his relentless pursuit of justice for the Niger Delta region. "He was not just a leader; he was a beacon of hope for many. His dedication to the truth and his ability to articulate the challenges faced by our people were unparalleled," he said.
