The Recent Move To Conduct Party Congress Shows That Governor Sheriff Oborevwori Is Not Confident About His Second-Term Ambition.
The convener of No Jobman for Governor 2023, Comrade Steven Luke, has criticized the Governor of Delta State, Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, over the conduct of ward primaries across the state.
Speaking with newsmen today, Comrade Steven Luke alleged that the governor embarked on the ward primaries because he is uncertain about securing a second term in office. According to him, the governor allegedly views old members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) as a political threat.
Comrade Steven Luke further stated that the APC has now become a party largely controlled by new decampees who joined from the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) last year. He claimed that long-standing APC members who have labored for years to build the party structure are being sidelined in the current political arrangements.
He maintained that party leadership should promote fairness, inclusiveness, and respect for both old and new members in order to ensure unity and stability within the party
