Isoko South LG Chairman, Hon. Friday Warri, Under Fire for Purchasing Solar Panels Instead of Equipping Olomoro Government Hospital

The Chairman of Isoko South Local Government Area, Hon. Friday Ovoke Warri, has come under criticism by Comrade Steven Luke over what critics describe as misplaced priorities following reports of spending millions of naira on solar installations while the Olomoro Government Hospital reportedly faces serious shortages of essential medical facilities and equipment.

Critics argue that the urgent needs of the people should come first. They are questioning why funds are being committed to solar projects when a major government hospital serving Olomoro and surrounding communities allegedly requires urgent intervention, including a functional ambulance, modern medical equipment, drugs and other critical facilities.

A 2025 investigation reported severe deficiencies at Olomoro Government Hospital, including inadequate equipment and infrastructure, although another online hospital directory contains older, conflicting information listing ambulance services. This makes an independent, current assessment of the hospital's actual facilities important. �
